Dr. Kubik is the first fellowship-trained and board certified Urogynecologist in northern Alabama.  She began practicing in Alabama in 2009 when she was recruited by a private hospital system in Decatur.  Her main office moved to Huntsville in April 2016.

 

After graduating magna cum laude from Boston University where she earned distinction for her Biochemistry research, she attended medical school at the University of Alabama in Birmingham.  After graduating in 1998, she moved to Washington, D.C. for four years of residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at The George Washington University Medical Center followed by three additional years of fellowship training in Urogynecology in Louisville, KY.  She is board certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (i.e. Urogynecology).

 

During her fellowship, she also obtained a Master of Science degree in Clinical Investigation, graduating with the Dean's Citation and an Outstanding Achievement Award.  She has received many honors and awards including those for exceptional surgical skills and academic excellence.  She has authored and co-authored several journal articles and a book chapter in Urogynecology.  Her areas of interest are urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse, with a special emphasis on minimally invasive techniques and advanced laparoscopic/robotic surgery.
